I have been awarded by my school the funding to attend this summer’s Rome In Situ Tour and Technology workshop sponsored by the American Classical League.
The conference is for teachers of Latin, Greek, and Classical Studies to tour Rome and Campania while learning how to integrate the use of technology into their courses. I hope to not only learn how to take better digital images of these ancient sites, but also find new ways to make the subject come alive for my students and make the classical world real for them. We will be touring Rome and Campania from July 3rd to July 17th and the program takes us into the field as well as into the lab where we will learn new methods for presenting our content to our students.
